The First Friday crew invites you to Play in the Street downtown!

Holden Street will be closed to host live music, food trucks, and vendors. Enjoy giant blocks, cornhole, and other fun street activities. Downtown businesses will have extended hours, and many businesses and galleries will host openings and other special events focused on starting fresh!

FULL CALENDAR

Mill Town Foundation announces the inaugural Common Ground Festival that will take place on Saturday, July 6 between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Pittsfield Common at 100 First Street. Sponsored and programmed by Mill Town Foundation, this free event welcomes all ages and includes live performances, family-friendly activities, and food vendors from Berkshire County. Common Ground Festival is designed to break down silos to create authentic community connections, promote cultural diversity, and contribute to our region's vibrancy. Live performances will be presented by Kripalu, Barrington Stage Company, Tanglewood, Clara Guatta, Quarteto de Samba, The Funky Dawgz Brass Band, along with a dance circle led by Andres Ramirez and the Funk Box Dance Studio. Over 40 vendors and presenting organizations will be on site leading free interactive activities including bounce houses, artmaking, photo booths, and more. Food trucks will be provided by BB’s Hot Spot, Charlie’s Bistro Bus, Cravin’s Ice Cream, along with a Hot Plate Brewing Co. beer garden.

1Berkshire Announces the Theme for its 68th Annual Fall Foliage Parade 

Come one, come all and prepare to be captivated by a world of wonder and enchantment! 1Berkshire and the Northern Berkshire Fall Foliage Parade invite all to “Berk du Soleil - The Greatest Show in North Berkshire” as the theme for this year’s Northern Berkshire Fall Foliage Parade.  The Parade is scheduled for Sunday, October 6, 2024 when it will once again travel through downtown North Adams beginning at 1:00 PM. This year, the parade promises to be a spellbinding journey into the extraordinary, where dreams take flight and imagination knows no bounds.

Whether you’re a lover of the surreal, a seeker of the incredible, or simply a dreamer at heart, come and witness the breathtaking feats of our talented parade participants.  The Parade Committee encourages children of all ages to embrace their artistic wonder and creativity to participate in this year’s parade. Don your most whimsical attire and join us for a day of wonder! There are a variety of ways to get involved including, but not limited to signing up to have a float, entering a band/music unit, marching unit, veterans unit, or public safety unit or volunteering on the parade committee. A world of magic awaits - we’ll see you there.
