About the performers:

Drag performers Veronika Baked, Jackie Leggs, and Miss Ginger Souless will tease and tantalize us with their shimmer and sass; Milz 007 and Mz. October May Lay of the New England Ballroom scene will peel back the curtain on their world of ballroom culture and all night long we'll dance to the hot beats thrown down by acclaimed Berkshire DJ BFG. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic libations will be available for purchase at the Elks bar.

ROOTS Teen Center’s 4th Annual Show Your Teen Spirit Fundraiser will showcase the talent of local teens.

NORTH ADAMS, MA - ROOTS Teen Center’s 4th Spring Annual Show Your Teen Spirit event will showcase the talent of Northern Berkshire County Teens on a communal stage.

Teens representing Berkshire Dance Theatre, Drury High School, Kids 4 Harmony and Studio North Dance Arts will come together to perform throughout the event. A Silent Auction will be held and a cash bar will be available for those who wish to purchase beverages. Show Your Teen Spirit will take place on Saturday, March 11th, 2023 from 6-9PM at 3West Events venue located within the Norad Mills, 60 Roberts Drive, North Adams. Tickets are $45.00 each and can be purchased online at rootsteencenter.org/show-your-teen-spirit.

Proceeds from the Show Your Teen Spirit event will support general operations and directly benefit the teens who visit ROOTS Teen Center. Since October, ROOTS has served 121 individuals with an average attendance of 12 teens per week day. The ROOTS Teen Center team works diligently to provide interesting and valuable programming which furthers the mental, physical and emotional development of local youth. ROOTS continues to collaborate with local organizations to address food insecurity in providing pre-cooked meals and consistently stocked snack shelves for teens to take from as they please.

All services provided by ROOTS Teen Center are free of cost and are accessible by visiting ROOTS any week day from 3-7PM, or signing up online. Funding Opportunities

Biz-M-Power Updates

The program has increased the matching grant from a 1:1 match to a 2:1 match. This means businesses receive $2 from MGCC for every $1 raised in crowdfunding. There is approximately $5.8 million in funding still available. This program is open until June 30, 2023. Monthly reviews will be posted on MGCC Biz-M-Power website.

The Empower Digital Grant Program has modified its grant terms to include additional funding (up to $5000) for capital expenses that can help small businesses to expand or improve their digital capabilities. As a result, applicants may pursue up to $5000 of grant funding for digital services and $5000 of grant funding for relevant capital expenses.
